Should the closet flange be flush with the floor? Is there tolerance for heigher or lower, and if so, how much?
I’m planning to add a new subfloor to the bathroom, adding between 1/2 and 3/4, depending…
If the flange is flush now, can I leave it as is? Is there a device made to raise the flange (some sort of coupled new flange), or should I call a plumber to raise the flange with a new lead/oakum job? I don’t think I’m comfortable with the two wax ring approach. How do I do this right?
thanks.
