What do you use to close the hole between top plate and air chutes, between rafters or trusses, in order to contain your blown-in cellulose ceiling insulation?
Something quick and easy, preferably cheap.

I cut bats of f/g insulation and fit it between the top plate and the shut, making sure it covers the top plate. My insulation contractor does the same thing. On a 2x6 wall I use 8-10" strips, and 2x4 walls 6-8" strips. The idea is to get insulation completely over the top of the wall.

An insulation contractor I've worked with uses the cardboard chutes that are perforated to fold down and be stapled to the top plate. Those seem to work pretty well. Otherwise, the fiberglass stuffed in there works very well.
