Greetings!
I’m building a 6′ wood privacy fence around our pool/yard. It’s tamarack boards on hemlock strigers attached to pressure treated 4×4 posts. There is a pressure treated “box” at the top, i.e. 1×2 slats attched to 2×2’s enclosed in the 4×4 and 5/4 decking cap boards.
The question is, I’d like to use a nailer to save time on all this small work. Does anyone one know if they make treated brads or finish nails for these pneumatic nailers? Both the 1×2’s and 2×2’s are p.t..
I used treated deck screws for the heavy stuff, don’t know much about the availability of coated brads or small nails.
Thanks for any help,
Tom

Galvanized nails, brads, and staples are readily available in most areas. However be aware that the new ACQ treated lumber eats lightly gavanized material pretty rapidly.
Stainless steel nails, screws, brads, staples are also available will last much longer and of course cost much more.
I can't quite make out from your post, what you are talking about building with these fastners. You will have to decide on cost vs. longevity yourself.
Thanks for the info. It's a wood privacy fence.
I have not seen or heard of hot-dipped galv finish nails that are collated for nail guns. You want hot dipped galv if you are using ACQ pressure treated lumber, or better yet, stainless steel. Senco makes stainless steel finish nails for their 15 gauge guns.
