Just got the info in the mail. Looks like a good system. Anyone else a Code Plus builder? Got the application from the APA(plywood) website. Jeff

Jeff, I checked out the APA site to learn something about "Code Plus", but couldn't find anything on that subject. Could you give me more direction?
Thanks, Steve
*Steve, I don't remember where on the site I found it! I did have to search around. The info they sent has two web address'...www.codeplushome.org and ...www.apawood.org I did a yahoo search on "code plus building".....and I think there was a link on the left side of one of the pages. Then a link about registering....or becoming a code plus builder. I filled out an app for more info and they sent a packet. Haven't read thru the whole thing yet....but looks good so far. Jeff
*Thanks, Jeff. I found the form to request information at your suggested site: .For the moment, it appears that the "Code Plus" program is an effort to endorse the use of engineered wood products which exceed code requirements. The stuff I build (remodeling) already exceeds codes, using a mixture of conventional and engineered wood products, and I'm sure there's guys out there exceeding code using steel or whatever.I can't see any harm in the Code Plus program, unless the objective is to convince consumers that it's the ONLY way to exceed code requirements. Anyway, I sent off for the information.Again, thanks for the reply... Steve
