I am aware of the requirement for clearance of non-combustibles in front of a wood fireplace (open front) but I don’t have a copy of the actual code. I believe it is 18″ but if anyone has the code (BOCA or UBC), I would appreciate a copy or excerpt of the appropriate section. Thanks in advance.

He gave me this one about 2 1/2 years ago (Geez has it really been that long Alan?)Just ask a question about anything you could possibly imagine, and this place will give you every website that has any info whatsoever on the subject.Ask JeevesJames DuHamel
