Coloring Exsisting Mortar?

I did some brick work on my chimney and took a sample of the “old” mortar to the brick supplier. They gave me the color to add to the mortar. But now after about 2 weeks it is definately lighter than the exsisting mortar.

So is there a way to color it?

    I'd give it several months before attempting to "fix" it.
