I used aluminum insect screen over hardware cloth for the basement windows, but that wouldn’t look very good for the first floor, particularly the porch. The closest I’ve found is this: Black Steel Security Window Mesh
12-mesh doesn’t seem fine enough to keep bugs out though.
Edit: Forgot to ask if anyone had suggestions.

Thanks for the bump, rez. After extensive investigation, the 12-mesh still seems to be the way to go.

You could electrify the aluminumn screen.
Hey, I didn't say it was a GOOD idea ;)

If your hair looks funny, it's because God likes to scratch his nuts. You nut, you.
I've seen doors made of similar stuff, and they seem to work just fine here. Of course, here our bugs tend to be large .... and mosquitoes rare.
All I can say is ... try it. If it fails to stop the finest bugs, then about all you can do is use spray glue to add 'no-see-um' mesh to the inside face.
I had the opposite problem ... a screen made of fine mesh, and a need to keep pets from destroying it. I covered the lower part of the screens with 'perforated metal.' This decorative product added the needed support to the screen.
'no-see-um' mesh
You mean there is actually a mesh that small which works against noseeums and can still provide a resonable air flow?
Nope
No see-um mesh sure works, but short of a gale llittle air will pass thru. Real crummy view also.
When you need them they are a god-send
