I was thinking of buying the Speed-Cope and wondered if anyone was using it and liked it.I cut all my copes freehand with a jigsaw now and I think the table would be pretty helpful.
Thanks

Can you provide a link for it?
I am familiar with the easycoper. It provides you with a flat "table" to ride your jigsaw on when coping crown.

That one is a lot cheaper but I like the clamping and adjustability of this one. Here is a link: http://www.speedcope.com/Craftwork Construction LLC
I don't own one, but I did try it out at a demo last fall. I thought it was slick, and worked very well. I don't, but if I were running a lot of crown, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.********************************************************

Yep ---I think their mid-winter thing is coming up this next week (wed thru sat); don't imagine they'll have tents this time of year, but they do promise demo's etc.********************************************************

I have the Easycope and find it satisfactory. I think this thing looks like the same but definately is a step up in quality and useability. Do not hesitate to get it. It will increase your accuracy and speed tenfold. I still cope by hand if it's pine and there's not too much to do, but if there's any hardwood or wide stock to do, I use the Easycope. Get it, it's really worth it.

Last I check it retailed for $2300. From what I've heard it works great. The templates take about 15 minutes to make, but you can cut a PERFECT left or right cope in about 30 seconds, once the template is made.
