What are people using these days for compact fluorescent recessed cans. In the past I have installed Halo H800 with a specular reflector which uses 2 13w bulbs. They have decent light output, but are nowhere near airtight. Halo makes an H274, but it is only one bulb… too dim.
Another option I have explored is to use a CF screw in bulb in a incandescent fixture, like an H7ICTH. However, they look a little funny sometimes.
Does anyone know of any other fixtures that are airtight and have bulbs mounted horizontally (like the H800)?
Is there a better solution?
