I installed Correct Deck cedar tone composite decking three years ago and have had nothing but problems with mold growth. This black mold spreads like cancer across the deck. I have cleaned it several times with a 50/50 bleach solution followed by a judicious scrubbing and power washing and then applied a mold inhibitor(CleanCoat). It still comes back. I contacted the company. They had no solutions. I see they do not stand behind their product. I had a PT deck prior with no mold problems. Any suggestions?

Is it mold or mildew? If the deck is in a shady area and stays damp, it might be a simple mildew. Where are you located? Describe the deck location: north side of the house under a heavy canopy of trees on the pacific northwest coast...

Is it IN the decking or ON it.
Probably no way to tell without some labatory testings.
But if dirt, leaves, twigs or anything organic falls on it and it gets damps and stay damp then stuff can start growing.
The deck is surrounded by trees, gets partial sun and I am in southern ny.
It sounds like simple mildew to me.
