Looking for opinions: I have a 20 gallon shop sized air compressor. Just an ordinary (not oiled) run of the mill homeowners. I suse it maybe 3-4 times a month…. blow up pool rafts, blow out sprinklers etc. It takes up about 3.5 to 4.0 feet (lengthwise). It has 2 tires on the back end, a rubber footed leg on the front, with a pull handle.
Can I store and use it if I sit it upright (on it’s end).
It would save shop space. But is there some law of the universe that would prohibit usining it that way??

Storing and running it in a vertical position should pose no problems. However, unless you want to flirt with creating a de facto bomb down the road, you should always let it drain in the horizontal position after use (assuming that the drain valve is on the botttom).
