I need some suggestions of how to repair/cover the concrete basement floor in my workshop. It is about 30 years old and was painted with epoxy paint about 20 years ago. It is dry and no water/moisture problem. The paint is easily scraped off, as well as a portion of the top layer of concrete, when objects are moved around or when something is dropped on it. It appears to me that the top surface is much softer than it should be. Is there anything that can be done with the current floor to correct the condition? Is there a coating that can be put over it that will stick e.g. AboCrete by Abatron, Inc. Would this work, or is the only solution a jack hammer?
