I am installing concrete countertops. 1 will be around a cooktop and 1 around a sink. I am planning on finishing with mineral oil. I like it because it is heat stable. I wanted to see what other’s opinions are.

mineral oil works well on non to almost mildly porous stone (slate) 'cause it's easy to saturate just the surface, concrete however is one huge sponge .. there are a few good books around on conc counter tops, and a fanatical bt'r will be along soon with more advise ..
