The patio will be poured next week…and I ponder now what is the best sealer to place on the patio. There’s been some discussion here in the searches about indoor sealers, and a little bit about Rez’s shop, but I didn’t find anything specific to an outdoor patio sealer.
Finish will be a simple broom finish. Size is 32×24…pretty big.
I used some stuff indoors…rolled it on…and remember getting quite a few “bubbles” in the sealer…which now sorta look like drops. Since that will be covered, I’m not concerned, but would like to avoid with the patio.
Is rolling going to be a problem, considering the broom finish? My guess is my nap was too thick on the roller…
Does anyone have any brand suggestions for a good, outdoor, sealer?
Edit: Searching around some on the ‘net, I see the DURALL finish…appears to be more of a indoor thing, but I do like the idea of using a “quartz” additive and perhaps color for a finished look. Stamped concrete is OUTSTANDING when done right, but way out of my price range…Boy I’ve seen some wonderful looking stamped crete…
Thanks!

Try Super Diamond Clear VOX mfg by Euclid Chemical Co., Cleveland, OH. This is a water based, concrete sealer. You can either spray it on using a garden sprayer, or roll it on using a paint roller.
I bought this through a Waco (scaffolding) dealer. They handle all sorts of concrete needs. Contact a Waco rep, they would be glad to help out.

Use Sonneborn Kure-n-Seal. Apply with a garden sprayer.

I'll second the garden sprayer. It's nasty smelling stuff and you want to get it on and away from it as quickly as possible. I put mine on with a roller...way too clumbsy and slow.
Try using a long handeled sqweegee, it worked for me.Mike B.
