The plan is for an LP- or oil-fired boiler to do water for the staple-up hydronic and a few Runtal radiators.
Our basement slab will be sitting atop 6″ of compacted gravel, over the world’s best draining subsoil. We’ve got perimeter drainage outside the foundation walls, but no plan for any drainage nor sump hole and pump inside.
For the condensate drain, how does this sound? We dig a small hole about the size of a 5g bucket, fill it with the gravel, and just place a drain hole with grate when we pour the slab. The condensate will thus go into a small “dry sink” under the slab.

In m y area the common approach now is to just leave a 3" diameter PVC pipe through the slab and run the condensate theourgh that.
FWIW, my 100,000 btu 90+ was producing about 5 gal a day a couple of weeks ago when it was pretty cold and it was running maybe 60% of the time.

And for every gallon of fuel that the ( 90%+ assumed) boiler burns you will condense out about 2 -3 quarts of water into the "dry sink"....
Then it will become a wet sink.......don't do it!
Your house's worst enemy is water.....drain/pump it to daylight outside.... or daylight it to standing condensate trap..... or pump it to a laundry tub. Don't collect it under the slab.
The object of all you described as the design and construction for your basement is to keep it as dry as possible. The recipe is excellent...but no where does it say "add water"!

Sounds like a nightmare. Why don't you just use a condensate pump and run the line up into a drain?
