Just got a promo in the mail offering the “2008 Architects, Contractors and Engineers Guide ot Construction Costs”…30-day free trial!!! blah, blah, blah.
Wondering if anyone out there uses this or anything similar in their estimating? I do know it is a time-consuming pain to always be checking and rechecking material and labor costs for esitmates I write. It would be a nice to have a handy desk reference to go to…that is, if it’s accurate. (I’m by and large in the remodeling business.)
I know there are a number of companies out there offering this or similar services. Any recommendations?

I use Means Residential Square Foot Costs; Contractor's Pricing Guide for each year.
I'm happy with the accuracy.

I've always relied on Home Tech cost estimator. And then tweaked it with my own data mining making my data mining conform to their estimating system.
