construction vagabond for hire

My apologies if I have listed three new messages but I am new to the Internet scene. I am twenty-eight and have been working in the trades for six years. The past two seasons I have been working commercial projects in Alaska where I live and in the Puget Sound area. I am a solid number two man on wood framing projects and in the past two seasons have begun to work from the prints and have been running crews of three to five guys. I have also worked on survey crews as a sawyer, can operate some equipment and have worked on several log buildings, both scribe-fit and three-sided. And for what it is worth I type reasonably well and am usually the cook on the out of town camp living jobs. I am just off a 17000sq/ft. school project in Alaska and am visiting family in Atlanta. I can provide more information, references and photos if anyone is interested.

Hey alright...Come to Northwest North Carolina and help me with this 9000' monster that sits across the Linville Valley looking at Grandfather Mountain. Our 3 weeks of winter will make you feel right at home. No chance of dry in before coldness. I'll cook if you're easy to feed!!

*Hey- Thanks for the reply. It's been since last spring since I posted my deal on Breaktime and you are the only response I have had. After a project this summer in the San Juan Island's I have wound my way over to Colorado where I am working now. I wish I had heard about your project sooner but I am tied into a rental lease through the winter. 9000' is a big one and I would like to see something like that come together.I grew up in your neck of the woods, just north of Bristol and have been thinking I want to find a little property back there and build a small spec house. I guess ten years in Alaska and the West Coast has made me a little homesick. My mom and her mother live in Rabun County (Sky Valley) if you know where that is. So keep me in mind for your schedule next year if that is something you can see that far down the line. And I really do appreciate your response and I wish you well on that big 9000' mother.Matthew Hambrick

*Hey great! We have two more years of work left on this one so any time would be fine. They add stuff every time we have contact with the client...a lap pool...movie theater...greenhouse. This project has a cool feel to it...The clients made the bulk of their money with the Super Soaker watergun! They are playful and young at heart and at ease with it all. They brought up their decorator...I was dreading it...but he turned out to be the sharpest I've ever dealt with. Understood the cruel humidity swings we endure and is designing the woodwork to cope with it. Mostly ash finished clear.I have gotten a couple of old hippies, suscessful in their trades (rockwork, landscaping, 40' waterfall), with the upfront understanding that they are allowed to cut loose and use their imagination. Its been fun so far and I'm still excited. You can start any time!!
