I am trying to find a product that I remember reading about, but don’t remeber the name of. It was an insulated CMU block. However, it was not simply traditional CMU w/ insulated cores, but a block in which the interior and exterior faces were completely isolated from each other by a continuous ribbon of poly-something-or-other. T-shaped fins on the inside of each face helped the faces interlock.
Does anyone know of such a product? Better yet, has anyone used anything like this? Comments?

I remember the product name now: Thermalock.
Anyone used this before?
*I was unable to find a site for "ThermaLock" but did locate the following address:ThermaLock ProductsConcrete Block/Water Proofing162 Sweeny StreetNorth Towawanda NY 14120800-537-6363Also some related information at http://www.buildinggreen.com/elists/cemmasonry.html . Check out the last post in particular.I note that CMUs are expensive to ship. About $2 per mile for a truck load. Unless you can find a licensed manufacturer in your area the cost of using these could be prohibitive. Consider ICFs.
