Controlling lights from the tub question
I’m still roughing in electrical and need a strategy that will comply with the NEC. I want to be able to switch/dim the light over my whirlpool tub while using the tub. It’s just one can light.
I know that I can’t place a typical switch or dimmer beside the tub, so what is the most practical solution?
Air switch? IR remote?
Thanks.
New knowledge is priceless.
Used knowledge is even more valuable.

Clapper.
Well, maybe not if it gets noisy in the hot tub.
Damn, Mark! I read the OP, immediately thought of a clapper, and scrolled to the bottom - only to find that you had already done that.Curses.........Foiled Again - lol
hey i was first with the clapper idea, credit where credit is due!
Oops, my bad. - lol
just don't let it happen again.
don't know where i got em... but... they are touch dimmers you wire em into a light or lamp and then a wire to anything metal (maybe a towel bar) guess they are whats in the lamps you touch the base of to turn off & on... guess it'd be safe? a wire to a thin sheet metal plate that'd be behind the drywall or tile... that would catch a screw from the towel bar?
