I have an attached garage that has been converted into an extra room. I am trying to design a floor plan to turn it into a bedroom/bath. I would like some ideas on where to find plans that might help me with the layout.

I think your first consideration would be where your plumbing is or what you've got going on underfloor for drainlines, heat or whatnot...
Beyond that I don't have much input on where to go for common layouts.. I would lay it out how I thought I wanted it, then seek other opinions, perhaps ask a designer to come in to confirm your ideas.
I'm assuming that the concrete slab of your attached garage is lower than the finish floor of existing living space in your home. I'm also assuming that the first floor is framed wood joists.
I would locate the new bathroom adjacent to the common wall between the existing garage and living space. As a matter of fact, locating the bath right near the entry to the proposed remodeled suite would be best. This will allow you to build the new bathroom so that the finish floor elevation is even with the existing living space finish floor elevation. That allows you space for your below floor waste line which can than travel into your assumed basement for a connection to the main waste line.
How old is the house? Any idea if there is a vapor barrier under the existing garage slab? Before furring up a finish floor you need to address any dampness that may be coming up through the slab.
What are you considering for heating and cooling of the new space?
Reply meant for MRMorals not me--did he get it?
As "Architect" is in your title, can you give me input or direction on a funky little garage/shop with bonus or efficiency space above for the back of my lot?
Match the Crafts bungalow story and half house and 500sq ft max?
Not like I want you to draw it for me, but any stock plan resources or a web page referral for my perusal?
Thank you
No, I don't have anystock plans for such a project. I even tried looking on line for what you're looking for and only found sites for Coach House RVs and a number of bed and breakfeast sites.
It does sound like you're trying a do a coach house type of building.
Craftsman carriage house I think would fit the bill. Double doors open to yard, overhead door opens to alley. Story and a half for bonus room above. Shed roof area over slab for outdoor workspace.
Thanks for replying. Just a fantasy that anyone might have a stock plan I'd see and say, "THAT'S IT!"
Friends of mine built a carriage house garage that is exactly that. Double doors on each end, only room for the 2-3 cars in line, and passage by. Single door in the middle and windows for natural light. Whomever is first home each night pulls forward. A nice building architectural details matching their 30's sears kit home.
The space has already been converted to an open room by the previous owner. We having difficulty with a convenient layout for the room to feel natural since it is narrow (21 X10). the only logical entrance is through the front room but we don't want a doorway that connects dircectly between a living room and a bedroom.
Heating and air is already run. But we are thinking about converting to a tankless gas water heater. Also the plumbing is all located near the area.
Wait one minute!!! You have to get Permits!!!! 1st zoning app, then a septic permit, or a municiple water tie in permit, and construction permit!!! I'm supprised a killjoy has not shown up here yet???? To give you the info. Just kidden, O, did I say your taxes will go up too!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't we breakaway from England?

My story gets better. I go to the township building to ask if I can build a lean too onto an existing slab next to my garage. No they say '' It needs to have a foundation" like the detached garage! How friggen stupid is that 3 walls and shed roof.
