I’m looking for a supplier of copper for siding materials. I’m interested in individual pieces approximately 16-18″ and will be staggering them for a look similiar to cedar shakes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By considering things like energy-efficient mechanicals, window orientation, and renewable energy sources, homes can be evaluated to meet the energy codes. Here's what the IRC has to say.

We have a supplier downtown.

Maybe do a search for posts by John Sprung. He mentioned getting copper shipped from the east coast to LA for a project, for better prices than local.
Back when I bought, the best deal was to have it shipped all the way to LA from N.B. Handy Co. in Roanoake, VA. They're also a good source for solder, flux, and tools.
IIRC, the copper nails were from http://www.swansecure.com, where I also get my stainless nails. For goop in the seams, I used SikaFlex from Smalley & Co. in Van Nuys.
To form the pans and cut the copper, I used a Tapco Max brake and rolling shear. To close the seams, I used a RAU #117, expensive for such a simple tool, but worth it when you're hanging from a rope on the roof.
You can get some good info from http://www.copper.org.

It'd be helpful if you'd fill out your profile so we know where you are.

In Brooklyn, they rip the leaders off the brownstones. You can often hear a homeless guy whacking away at a discarded A/C at about 3am, forthe copper.
Man, if that scene dont tell ya that you've hit rock bottom then nothing will!

Actually these guys are probably above average on the hiearchy of down-on-your-luckers.
