I was thinking about using copper flashing in my roof valleys to match a copper roof on a box bay window. But DW would like to see an example before approval. Anybody have any pictures of an aged copper roof and/or copper flashing? I couldn’t google anything that showed it aged.
Thanks -MERC

Is there anything you can do to preserve the original copper color or is that a losing game?

Yes, there are things you can do, but they are all expensive and/or difficult and/or tedious. Lacquer works, but I don't know how long it lasts outdoors. Polishing works, but doing it weekly gets really boring. Etc.
Hi DJ
If you go to Europe the lovely green patina is cherished. Keeping a steel ship at sea from rusting is about the same effort! We have about 40 pieces of brass and silver-a never ending task. Learn to love green.
