anyone have a cordless string trimmer / edger they would recommend, buy again etc. ??
mostly to be used where my fixed gas edger doesn’t like to go / curved areas between plantings & lawn
for that matter I’ll probably only use gas a couple times a year to get it right & clean up the rest w/ cordless if one is worth buying

I use electric trimmers and anything else if i can. They start every time.
But I use a cord. Batteries would be to complicated and costly in my opinion.

Been using B&D grass hog. 18v works fine, have 3 batteries. It won't knock down heavy weeds but for grass it's ok.

I bought a 24v Craftsman on ebay a couple of years ago. Works well for my needs and I've retired the corded one. As mentioned, they're considerably weaker than gas or corded in heavy weeds.
I'm unhappy with the not-too-smart charger, and have built a better one that won't destroy the (expensive) battery. Newer models may be better. Easy to check.
