I am trying to figure out if it will be less expensive for me to build my house as a 2,000 sq ft one story (trussed) or a 2,000 sq ft one-and-a-half story (stick frame roof). I have been a framer and concrete man for about 4 years now, but I have no experience in job estimating. I will be doing all of the framing and roofing. Thanks guys for any input you might have!

Big Mike,
FWIW, When I had a garage built two years ago, (1.5 story, 1000sq. ft. footprint), to add a 480 sq. ft. half story was $5.00sq. ft. using attic trusses. It's almost always cheaper to go up than out.
