I am looking to install or have installed a high quality standing seam steel roof on the home I am currently building. What is the going rate of this type roof in your area and any advice on quality brands/finishes of materials or those to definitely avoid? Thanks!

Pretty vague question there.
Are you installing or having it installed?
High quality? That varies by pespective. True standing seam or snaplock? Exposed or hidden fastener. Solid sheathing or purlins?
How big? How tall? How steep? How cut up? Hip roof or gable? Valleys? Penetrations?
The only thing I can really answer with out more specs is I would stay away from polyester finishes. I've seen a fair amount of failure. Stick with kynar.

But you all knew that. I detailed it extensively in my blog.
Sorry for such a vague question - just trying to get a feel for an average per square cost across a larger demographic than here in N Nevada. To be specific - hidden fastener, lower residential profile, 24 guage, snap-lock unless I get it installed by someone who owns a seem roller, 4/12 to 6/12 valley intersection and another small valley on covered porch
I charge about $900/sq L&M as a jumping off point for 24 ga, kynar snap lock, walkable roof in KY.http://grantlogan.net/
