I am just getting to replacing the counters at my parents house. Nothing fancy just stock laminate counters from Lowes.
When the counters were delivered I noticed that the 10 foot piece had a onsiderable bow in it up. I didn’t feel great about that but I figured by the time I got to install them it would level out, I stored it on horses and left the bowed end unsupported.
So I go to install them to day and I cut the peice to length, good, nothing fancy no scribing etc but the peice is still really bowed. Its also bowed in a bad place at the mitre and above the lazy susan cabinet.
Any one have any suggestions or tricks to help get around this?
What I’ve done so far is put the piece in place, clamped it down in the front, and in the back I have clamped it to the cleat I installed on the wall for support. I have three 16 inch concrete blocks on padding one at each end and one in the middle, to try to add weight and help relax and flatten the whole thing.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Maybe I should have refused it but I went back to lowes and looked and all the long tops were bowed a little.
Thanks

Ignore the bow. If you've installed level cabinets, when you screw the top down, it will pull the bow out.
Kowboy
I would have taken it back
