OK,, I’ve got a wall furnace, Manufactored in 2000,with electronic ignition. Problem= no ignition, no sound of clicking, nothing at all, including no heat. It’s in a rental of mine. Possible this weekend, I will check for 110 volt, thru transformer, to 24 volt, check flu for obstructions/dirt/dust bunnies. OK that written,, any other suggestions, as to what all I can look for/test?? Thanks Jim J

How about calling a professional HVAC guy? DanT
I have a rental that had a new Williams wall unit. It was not powered by any elec. So it was intermittently failing to cycle. There was a newer style thermo coup that was integrated into the thermostat. It's been awhile so I don't remember exactly but I replaced the thermocouple unit and all is working well. Kinda irritating cause it was like a year old or so .

Is the ignitions suppose to "click".
Some furances with a ceramic hot surface ignitor and they will burn out.
Yes, it is supposed to click, oh about three times. It has a Piezo Sparker, so in my limited knowledge, T-stat calls for heat, piezo sparker sparks(clicks), while at the same time gas valve opens. Come tomarrow with tester in hand, and I pulled our file, (Installation and operating instructions) on the furnace, so I will have some paper guidance. Dan T, cause I'am cheap, Note: I like to think that I know when to stop, and call the HVAC. Bill H, Dan T and Clay, thanks,, Jim J
Well today, looking over the Installation and operating instruction, was a hand written Note, ie the reset button buried behind the "central furnace cover", the Manual calls it the "blocked flu switch", ie a reset button. I shop vaced and sponged out, around all the parts of furnace, climbed on roof and checked flu for blockage. All looked good other than some build-up of dust bunnies (small variety), I pressed button, it clicked, buttoned up furnace,I turned gas valve open, and turned T-stat up to 75 degrees. All is well, and yes the ignition does click, click,,,,,,,,,,,, Thanks All Jim J
