Once Again,, I start up my “New” wall furnace, More phone calls from the tenants, ie- “furnace quit working”. Reset button has tripped again. So, I call Tech. Support again,, (good people by the way), Tech support is fairly certain that the 3″ x 10″ oval is not the minimun 2′ tall as required, and while I’am checking that, also check to see that I have the minimun 12′ of total run. Well, what the HVAC co. left me,when they installed the Furnace new, was only 10′ from bottom of floor to top of vent cap. The 3” x 10” oval was 2′ tall, as per required, but the over all height was not. So, I added an 18″ section of 4” vent pipe, ( yes I know still 6” short ). This Furnace has now been working for 1 month, And for whatever reason I feel lucky that this Furnace is still working, I bought it new in Nov. of 2001. Jim J
