Hello –
There are several sections of remnant laminate countertops I’m helping a friend install in a darkroom he’s putting together.
They are new contractor returns with mitered corners for forming a J-shaped counter.
Two of them would need to be cross cut and butted together.
There are two more cuts to be made but they would be the ends and not as critical.
Is it worth the attempt, especially with countertops that has backsplashes ?
We called several fabricators and they don’t want to mess with them for obvious reasons.
Did a search in the archives and haven’t come across a discussion dealing with this.
There is mention of butting together the tops and running a router through the seam.
Any suggestions ?
Surely some of you have run into this after picking contractor returns at home centers ?
Thanks,
Alan
