I recently installed a hardwood (red oak) floor in a small addition. I put down tar paper over the subfloor, patched into the old hardwood with the new, and polyed. Under the addition was a dead space that wasn’t ventilated for about 4 months after the floor was finished but is now ventilated. The hardwood has cup sometime while the space below was unventilated. Is this due to the lack of ventilation for 4 months or do you think water got under the flooring via the front door, everything else looks fine. It is also dry as a bone under the addition and has been since it was opened up.

Where was the cupping located on the floor and how much.
A photo would be helpful.
