I’m using my new 17″ Grizzly with a 1″ blade to resaw some very straight, true, 1.75″ thick walnut. Unfortunately, once resawn, the two halves cup after the internal wood stress in relieved.
1. Is there anyway to prevent this cupping?
2. Now that I’ve got one cupped board, is it possible to “uncup” it?
Thank you in advance for the feedback,
Dave

I see there aren't any responses. This is a perfect question to post over in Knots. The wood experts are there.
Thank you, I'll try that.

2. Rip cut, joint and plane. After this, glue the pieces together.
