curing concrete ftat work question
I have three yards of flat work that I’m “curing”. I put plastic sheets over it and they have left marks where the sheets touch/don’t touch. I just read that plastic sheets are a no no for appearance concrete.
I acid etched part of it yesterday ( I planned to etch it anyway) and I think it took the staining off the concrete. So all is well.
My question is… If I put straw down and then cover it with plastic will the straw stain the concrete?
I’m trying to keep it wet but it’s not so easy. I plan on keeping it wet for 6 days. Then I’ll acid etch it for appearance, neutralize it, and put on a silicone sealer.

When they poured my garage slab I used a lawn watering device to spray it for 7 days (it was so warm outside I didn't take a chance).

No crack since 4 years except 1 hairline crack that's barely visible.
I thought about that but decided not to. I have plastic on it. And I have a bail of straw. I'm cheap and like to use what I have on hand.
I can just keep the plastic on it for another 4 days.
Since I'm going to etch it anyway will it matter if the straw stains it a bit.
I'm etching it to give it an older look.
