I remember seeing something in one of the Best of FH books. I think they called it a 'Barrel vault' ceiling. I did a quick search, and FH vol 51, page 79.
Also, I'm not certain, but I think this is the book it was in: Framing Floors, Walls, Ceilings

In new construction I know of several projects with a curved roof. The construction is Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS). The factory can build in the arch. I have seen radii as tight as 5'. One structure in Virginia Beach even has T&G cherry pre-applied. You can do a search on the internet for SIPS. One brand name is R-Control.
