I want to use this roof idea for my front porch roof. The width would be 7’9″ and 4′ out from house. There once was an article on this. Roof pitch on existing house is 6/12 what would make a good radius and how do you figure out the hips in it.

Thanks guys lots of help. Post pictures when I get done.
have you started yet?
did you build it yet?
Work has me so tied up I haven't got around to it. I got the rafters cut so it is matter of installing them. Still tweaking the design of the whole roof. Other things have come up that might put it on hold. I have a pigeon problem. They think that I have built them a wonderful 1200 sqft. bird house so I have to get my soffiting done asap. Does anybody know how to get rid of them. My neighbor has been feeding them and thinks they are beautiful and was mortified when I wanted to start killing them. I will post pictures soon
Get yourself a sharptailed hawk.
If the birds have been well fed and not eating garbage, they are good in a stew.
