I am building a traditional arched roof barn home that also has a faux silo attached. Thanks to FHB articles, I’ve learned how to complete most of the curved framing. however, I need to construct an arched roof section that will connect the arched (truss) roof to the round-walled silo. It has me stumped! Any suggestions on how to do this or information on the subject would be appreciated.
thanks,

Just saw some niced arched/barrel trusses go into a bank nearby. Have you ran this past your truss supplier? It wasn't a perfect arc, but short straight segments of 2x making the appearnace of a smooth curve and looks very good.
I am picturing a half cylinder ( house roof) horizontallly meeting a full cylinder that is vertical is that correct?
If so, basically the house roof is "coped" to the circumference of the silo. Draw a scale of both and plot from that, or better, mock it up in miniature first.
Yes, the barn roof is essentially a horizontal half-cylinder (although it is an arch, not a constant-radius cylinder), and the silo is a full vertical cylinder. However, the two do not actually meet, as the silo stands about a foot away from the barn's wall at its closest point. Thus, I need to add a "tee" off of the barn roof (which i would like to be an arch as well) that will bridge between the two...
