Whiteside are generally thought of as the best router bits, and they will make custom router bits. I have no idea of the costs but if you need the bit, you need the bit. I would also ask this question in the knots forum, some of the cabinet makers might have more experience with this type of question.

I don't know the cost either. But worth checking into - depending on the cost of the bit, most millwork places have the ability to make knives. It is possible that having them match your profile with their machinery could be cheaper than buying a specially made bit.

depending on the profile, you can take a piloted rabbeting bit, that is HSS, and make a single flute cutter.

You might consider having a set of moulder knives made (abought $150 for 4" w pair). Would probably be cheaper and the casing could be run in one pass. I could run it for you in my shop either on the W&H or the high end shaper we have in the shop. My shop is located in Union SQ in Somerville.
The local place I go to get knives made is Atlantic Carbide in Somerville around the corner from HD.
Paso Robles Carbide in Paso Robles, CA... I think it's the (805) area
