I’m getting ready to finish a bathroom in my basement. My home was built in 2004 and already has under slab plumbing for a bathroom. I am building a custom shower stall and I’m hoping that someone can suggest some websites that show tips for building this.

Custom as in a mud bed? If so, I'd get a copy of Taunton's tiling book (I forget the exact title) which has a section (available as a separate reprint) entitled "Building a Leakproof Shower". Even if you're using a shower pan, it's a great book and you'd probably find it well worth the money.

Also HD has a tiling 1-2-3 book and page 66 starts a chapter on a custom shower pan.
Get Michael Byrnes (sp) book "Setting tile if you go with a mud bed. Also try the schluter/kerdi website. I haven't tried kerdi yet but will on the next shower.

Hey guy:
Can't help you with any websites for your shower, but I am building one also. A 4 foot by 7 foot walk in on the first floor master bath. I've remodeled a lot of baths and have seen a lot of damage and problems with leaking, etc. I opted for a one piece shower pan made by Zimmer Marble. You can then tile the walls if you wish, or they can build you one piece panels for the walls. They must have a site, just press search.
Good Luck!
