I have a fireplace with an opening 7’wide by 5′ high to go in a ski resort hotel lobby (Also known as another architects — dream) I cant put a masonry fireplace in because of weight problems. Does anyone know of someone who has custom fabricated a zero clearance fireplace of this size or near to it. The fireplace will use 360-500 MBH of gas logs so no need for wood firing.

Zero clearance implies that there is no seperation necessary between the unit and combustible materials.
You are not likely to get a custom unit approved. However, it would seem that in your case weight and not clearance is the issue. You will probably be able to use a custom metal fireplace if you can maintain the necessary clearances. Check with fabricators of custom kitchen equipment in your area. The exclusive use of gas will allow considerably more options than wood.
