I turn once again to this list for help. you guys are great.
I have to replace the lighting panels in some homemade flourescent fixtures. The old panels have cracked. So I bought some full size panels with the idea that I would cut them to size and now I’m wondering whether there is a trick to cutting them that it would be useful to know. Knife? Score on both sides and hope it breaks along the line? How do I ensure that it does? Somehow I think a saw would be a mistake and the panels would simply crack. They are pretty fragile.
Thanks for help.

Score it several times with a sharp tool, then lay it over the edge of a piece of 1x or ply or even a dowel. Be sure you have scored all the way to both edges. Carefully bend it over the edge and it will snap cleanly.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
Thanks Ed. I'll give it a try your way.
I get asked this all the time at HD. I've tried many different ways, all with poor untrustworthy results. The one that does work is a plastic saw blade for a tablesaw and go slow and be sure to wear a faceshield just in case, not just glasses. (The static on the 'sawdust' is yet to be solved.)
I've cut them on my tablesaw. Triple-chip blade works very well. Inexpensive saw with much vibration probably wouldn't work so well.
