Hi all
I’m installing some pretty big crown mouldings, and was wondering is anybody knows of a reference site for angles. Due to the size, I have to lay the 45 back flat on the deck of my mitre saw. I find adjusting up and down from 90 degrees is a challenge.
Any help or links?
Thanks, Shave

Gary Katz has a table in the back of his book "Finish Carpentry" that gives the different settings to put on your saw for cutting crown at different wall angles. The book is put out by Craftsman publishing ( JLC affiliation somehow). You may be able to find something on the JLC website (http://forums.jlconline.com/forums/index.php) or Gary's own web site ( sorry dont have the address for it handy).
Hope this helps some

Gee do you think the Dewalt saws have detents for all those.
Only the ones not painted yellow.
Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell'em "Certainly, I can!" Then get busy and find out how to do it. T. Roosevelt
