I bought some granite tiles for my vanity top. I have to cut two holes for my two oval sinks. I hear that granite it harder than porcelain so I am wondering how to cut the curves in these tiles without breaking them. Will my grinder with a diamond blade work?
thanks

cut it like warm butter..
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

Let me try again. Hope this works.
I cut out a sink opening from a 3/4 inch granite countertop with a diamond wheel on my hand grinder and it went without a hitch. Granite does have veins in it which enhance the look of the granite but they are natural weak spots. If you notice any in your tile just be careful cutting close to them. Try to cut across them perpindicularly and not a close parrallel cut.
BTW, make sure you wear hearing protection as well as dust mask and eye pro.
