Cutting pre-finished flooring-dullblade?
I recently dulled the blade on my compound miter saw by cutting laminate flooring.
I now need to cut some pre-finished hardwood flooring, and I’m wondering if I should use an old blade for fear of dulling my new one. The hardwood flooring has an aluminum oxide finish. I imagine it’s not as thick and dull-inducing as the finishin on laminate flooring, but how bad is it?

go buy the cheapest carbide blade yo can find at the BBs. Lowes has a house brand called firestorm that would fit the bill. When you finish the job throw out the blade.

One laminate floor and your blade either goes for sharpening or the trash. You can probably do 2 or 3 prefinished hardwood installs with the same blade.

I would say ask the electrician to come over, but he would probably add HW through out the house while you were out.
