i saw this product at homo depot and wondered if anyone has used it. i have a 1950’s cape with plaster walls that crack and recrack. if this product remains flexible i think it would be just what i need. anybody have experience with this stuff?

It will keep cracking.
Get a reputable person with experience in this area to figure out what is causing the cracks.
The material that the plaster is attached to is moving, probably due to moisture changes. Are you sure it is plaster and not drywall?
it is definitely plaster over blueboard?
Most likely it's plaster over gypsum lath. It was a popular plastering technique in the 50's that did away with traditional wood lath.
I'm not familiar with this product in particular, but I can't imagine how it's supposed to make an expanding/contracting crack disappear.
See if you can find a flexible drywall repair tape. As long as the movement is very, very minimal, I've had good luck hiding cracks this way.
