We’ve been asked to provide budget prices for replacement of an existing deck rail and I’m looking for some feedback on pricing. Does any one have any experience with LF ballbark prices for a similiar detailed rail section. thanks
Details –
1. the deck is approx. 1,100 sq feet with 120 lf. of existing rail.
2. there are existing 4×4 posts which will remain and are to get wrapped with finish material.
3. New rail has –
1. a single piece bottom section approx. 3×3 with a beveled top.
2. 1-1/2″ sq ballusters. with coped bottoms to
mate with bottom rail.
3. the top rail is a build up of a 5-1/2″
beveled cap, a piece of 3/4″cove & 1/2″ X 2″
flat stock on each side of the balluster.
4. Newells are to be padded out to finish at 7″
sq with a similiar build up as the top rail
section.
4. there are three sets of stairs, each with 6
risers.
5. Material to be CLR white cedar
6. Finishing NIC
7. Location – CT
