I am looking for information about a fiberglass or vinyl product that can be used under a 2nd floor deck so rain and snow do not get through to the first floor deck. It would create a ceiling over the first floor deck.

I've always thought vinyl soffitt *might* work for a budget job.

Had a friend who did that, used fiberglass corragated panels, diverted the rain great. Unfortunately, it prevented circulation and the moisture laded air caused the Ipe to swell and bust through the eb-ty deck system. After I repaired the deck, he tore off the panels.
