I have an older deck with a blue stain on it.
Its starting to look a little aged.. Ive been reading that we should preesure wash along the grain, let it dry a few days and then restain.
Is this a good way to refinish?
What about sanding or a stain removal product?
Any opinions would be appreciated..

There are a lot of deck finishes but the preparation is the same regardless of which one you choose. Here is a link to a video of good prep techniques. An oxygenated bleach is a lot easier on the lumber, hardware, fasteners and landscape than chlorinated bleach. You normally don't have to do any sanding unless you have a rough hand rail or something similar. Following the steps on the video will result in removing stains and renewing the deck/rail surfaces. It will do an excellent job. I've been trying the Defy but only have short term experience with it. So far, so good.
