We’re rebuilding our front porch, and approaching the point at which we’ll be replacing the stairs — nine treads, six feet wide (Victorian house). The old treads were pretty rotted out where the nails went through, and I’m considering screwing them on from underneath, using some of those channels used for invisibly screwing deck boards down. Any thoughts, and any favorite brands if you think this is a good idea?
