decorative clad or alumnium storm doors
Hi,
I have a client that has a beautiful Victorian home. They’re looking for a storm/screen combo door that has some detail appropriate to the home. They want a non wood door (metal prefered). They door is exposed to the weather and they are afraid of warpage with a wood one. Anybody have any sorces?

Larson storm doors are alum. with wood cores. Get them at HD, Lowes, etc. A multitude of stiles and a variety of colors. You can upgrade the latch to brass and add name plates, toe kick panels, etc. Good doors for under $300.00.

Thanks, I know about them, in fact I have one on my house. My client is looking for something more “frilly”.

Not sure where you are located but I had a similiar situation last year. The customer wanted a fancy storm door for a 1920's lakefront cottage. Not a standard size to boot!! We finally ended up using a door from a company called Harvey. They are located in Manchester, N.H. I bought the door from Loranger Door & Window in Portland, ME. It was delivered in 1 week!! Nice quality door. Fancy as required. Another happy customer.

HI,
I’m in Newton, just outside of Boston. Harvey might do, I’ll check them out. Same Harvey that makes windows?
Yes. I've never worked with the windows.
