DeWalt Laminate trimmr in recent reviews
Does anyone have any experience with the multi-base DeWalt laminate trimmer? I have been unable to find out if it will handle the use of bushings of any kind with any of its bases… I went into a local toolshop, usually stocked well, and they did not have the kit, AND they were unfamiliar with FineWoodworking’s recent review. I have to do several French doors this next week, and would prefer to use the simpler one-hander if it will take a bushing for my mortice jig. Otherwise, I’ll stick to my 690. Thanks.

I have the DeWalt trimmer. Yes, the base accepts those standard Porter-Cable template guides.
thanks!
You might try contacting Art Betterly Enterprises http://www.betterleytools.com
For many years they've made specialty tools for laminate and solid surface fabricators based on the PC 310 and other laminate trimmers. They have an inlay router (Model #IS100) that uses guide bushings. Also, Pat Warner http://www.patwarner.com/round_subbase.html makes an oversize base for the PC310 which, iirc, will accept guide bushings.
great website!! thanks.
