I’m in the market for a miter saw stand and took a close look at the Dealt miter saw stand and was really impressed with it’s rigidity and compactness. Transporting it to and from job sites is important. Also, I need one that’s not to bulky, as I’ll be using it primarily for trimming out kitchens after cabinet installations and I like to keep my saw as close as possible to where I’m installing. Others that I’ve seen seem to be a bit more bulkier. Anyone with experience with the Dealt?
Thanks!

I think it's the best one out there.(Just my opinion). We use it with our DeWalt 12" Sliding Compound Saw. It works great for us. Because we have alot of tools on the job sometimes, the compactness of it is needed too.
*Rockford-I think the Dewalt stand is the best. I own two of them and my only concern was the table deteriorating in the rain.Well the good news is they don't and it does rain in Washington.they are a great lightweight.portable, space saving unit, and well worth the money.Do buy the extensions if you are cutting anything long.
*I've got one, and some of the guys on our crew have them.No complaints here.I also like the Delta Kick Stand. I really couldn't say which one I like best. On the DeWalt, we got rid of the "Material Stop" thing and bought another material rest so we have one on each side of the saw. Works great with either the DeWalt miter or compound mitre saws. So does the Kick Stand.Ed. Williams
*Pretty much what they all said. Mines been used (abused) as a framing tool for just over a year now and I should have bought it years ago. Extensions and material supports BIG plus. Used mostly outside and it seems to have weathered very well.I think it's one of those why didn't I sooner kind of things.jim
*Thanks for the replys so far! It sounds like I can't miss with the DeWalt. I'll probably be picking one up next week. Thanks again!
*Got one too, it's worked out just fine. Nice and sturdy. It's mostly aluminum so you don't see rust if if a few rain drops hit it. Sam
